Your Responsibilities

Together with the cultivation workgroup, other greenhouse staff, and other partners, work towards a pedagogical approach that enables all participants in the Greenhouse to acquire knowledge that increases their employability.

As a vocational supervisor, you will guide participants in their daily work. This means supervising participants primarily in cultivation, gardening, and simpler LEGO assignments. You must also have a good sense of what works for the participants and be able to quickly adjust planned activities based on the circumstances.

Your Workplace

At the Integration and Labor Market Administration, about 350 employees work in the departments of labor and welfare and labor market initiatives. This position belongs to the labor market initiatives department. We are responsible for ensuring that Linköping Municipality provides relevant labor market initiatives and for conducting operations based on OSA (publicly protected employment). The main mission is to work on development for individuals in a labor market initiative. The ultimate goal is to progress towards studies or work, with or without support, in the regular labor market.

The Greenhouse cultivation is primarily located in Vreta Kloster, but this position may be placed more centrally. Working hours are scheduled during the day from Monday to Friday.

Who You Are

We are looking for someone with education in horticulture or equivalent experience as assessed by the employer. Examples of relevant education include agricultural high school with a focus on horticulture, a 40-week basic course, or vocational training in horticulture. To succeed in this role, it is a requirement that you have previous experience in supervising others and have documented practical experience in gardening. It is an advantage if you have experience in cultivating summer flowers and vegetables and in coordinating work within theoretical and practical cultivation.

The role requires a B driver's license for manual transmission as driving is part of the job. You also need to have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form since the language is one of your most important working tools.

Bringing enthusiasm, energy, and joy to the work is a given for you. Since the participants are at the center, you need to easily adapt to changing circumstances and quickly see opportunities in changes. You view your work from a broader perspective and understand the whole that the labor market initiative aims for.
